Join Megan this Sunday for a Simple Pickle Recipe Demo! Making your own pickled vegetables is an easy way to extend the shelf life of produce, practice zero waste, support gut health, and add a zesty flavor punch to your meals. Pickling can be intimidating, but it is a pretty simple process. All you really need is some jars, vinegar, and something to pickle… and maybe a little patience. Megan will go over some simple tricks and tips to de-mystify the pickle process. We will run through how to master (and how to eat!) your own original, simple pickled condiments:

  • Quick Pickled Onions

  • Pickled Garden Veg/ Giardiniera / “Whatever you’ve got”

  • Classic Dill Pickles

If you want to follow along you will need:

1.     Sterile wide mouth glass jars : How to Sterilize Jars for Pickling

2.     Vegetables (any assortment): Onions, Carrots, Radish, Fennel, Green Beans, Peppers, Cucumbers

3.     At least 2 cups White or Apple Cider Vinegar

4.     Sea salt

5.     Herbs & Spices (your choice): Black Pepper, Hot Pepper, Dill, Mustard, Garlic, Turmeric, Fennel, Coriander, Lemon, Rosemary, Thyme, Honey, etc.

Pay What You Can: If able to contribute, please send amount to Megan via Venmo @Megan-Knipp or PayPal to megan@meganknipp.com. As a small business, any and all contributions are much appreciated. If you cannot afford to give at this time, please do not hesitate to attend. Everyone is welcome. Thank you!
